TRUST Project partner Saint Louis University (SLU), through its School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies, conducted a series of webinars designed to provide a deep dive into data analytics: its applications in the financial industry, contribution to achieving financial inclusion, and role in the digital transformation of businesses and industries. Fintech professionals and practitioners were invited to share their unique fintech career experiences, insights, guidance, lessons, and tips to motivate and inspire students planning to become part of the fintech industry. A total of 1,582 students attended the webinar series held on February 12, March 5, and March 12, 2022.
Webinar participants were also given an overview of and an introduction to the SLU’s Master in Financial Technology. The TRUST project designed and developed an innovative master’s program in Fintech & Digital Innovation to be delivered in three Philippine and three Vietnamese universities. The Master in Fintech will be delivered with the blended learning methodology, which includes both workshops and distance learning objects (video lessons, lecture notes, and other OER (Open Educational Resources). SLU is currently securing accreditation for the master’s program and is expected to launch and offer the course in the 4th quarter of the year.
